Fethiye's beach is Calis, about 4-5 minutes from town by Dolmus bus. Alternatively, a Dolmus boat will take you at a more leisurely pace from the centre of Calis right onto the waterfront of Fethiye. The fine sand and shingle beach stretches as far as the eye can see so there's no question of being crowded and a single promenade, which is closed to traffic, provides a wide selection of good value bars and restaurants for your convenience. A light refreshing breeze from the sea makes Calis Beach popular when the midday heat and humidity of Fethiye town and the sheltered lagoons become unbearable.
